David Soul - Actor and singer
As a perfomer my name and body of work are my most important assets.
In a case where both were compromised, I turned to Victor Welsh Legal in Liverpool for help.
One of the partners, Stephen O’Toole, took the case and I give him and the Welsh legal team the highest praise for their straight-forward, clear, concise and very reasonably charged handling of what could have been a messy situation.
All thanks to Stephen and a wonderful firm.

Victor Welsh: An appreciation
I have worked in around the music industry for over 40 years and when seeking related legal advice it was always very difficult to find such specialist guidance in the North of England. Great swathes of the Music Business infrastructure are located in London including most of the lawyers tied into it. To seek legal advice ‘Down South’ was and is usually prohibitively expensive and time consuming. So it’s a mighty relief to report that there is a healthier alternative much closer to home in the North West. Over the years I have had the good fortune to be represented by a law firm with a serious understanding of how the Music Industry works, able to offer legal expertise - with an empathetic approach towards musicians, management and other related professions - and satisfy all their specialist legal requirements. For many matters musical and otherwise I have consulted Stephen O’Toole at Victor Welsh Legal when in need of practical advice and action. Being both an experienced solicitor and musician with an accomplished professional background Stephen is uniquely placed to understand the complexities of the music industry whilst paying due respect to the creative and artistic heart of the matter.
I have also sought the advice and guidance of Victor Welsh, whose time honoured wisdom and counsel has proved invaluable on more than one occasion.
I take great comfort and heart in knowing that I can rely on Victor and Stephen in Liverpool, whenever I need them and I will always receive sage counsel, honest endeavour and the best help possible close to home.

“I am writing to say thanks very much for your help with my End User Agreement for my app Little Lamb Phonics. As someone new to the Digital Creative Sector I was really at a loss where to go for support in this area. It is a growing sector but there don't appear to be many Solicitors’ firms that deal specifically with the requirements necessary. Without the correct agreement in place I could have found myself in a vulnerable position in the future. Thanks to you the process was made simple and straight forward. I would not hesitate to recommend you and Victor Welsh to anyone who requires support in this field”.
Many thanks - Jude Lennon - Owner
“After a promoter reneged on a deal and refused to pay the agreed amount for a series of UK tour dates we were left high and dry and thought we would never see the money and be seriously out of pocket. We spoke to Steve O'Toole at Victor Welsh Media Law and he was able to negotiate a full settlement of all monies owed from the other party. I would happily recommend speaking to them if you have a problem”.

“”Having previously used London lawyers, when we wanted to set up a company to provide performing arts training in China and create a wholly owned subsidiary there, we thought that would be difficult, trying and expensive.
The team at Victor Welsh made it seem straight forward with very reasonable fees.
At last, real help for the media sector on our door step!”

“We struggled to find someone who specialised in gaming for our contracts and other legal documents, we finally found Victor Welsh Media Law, they managed to sort out everything for us, they were super helpful. They gave great advice on current contracts we presented them, we couldn't be happier”.
